TSI…Teen Scene Initiative
The New Albany-Floyd County Public Library is launching its 2008-2009 campaign inviting teens to become a member of TSI …the Teen Scene Initiative. Teens on this advisory board will assist library staff in planning and helping with teen events and activities, making suggestions on purchases of books, movies, music and other materials, and promoting the Library to peers. TSI is open to students in grades 6th through 12th in public and private schools and teen students who are home-schooled.
Teens attending will have the opportunity to make friends, voice their ideas, get volunteer credit, and gain skills and experience for the future. Members will attend quarterly meetings and work with other TSI teens to help showcase what the Library has to offer. Members will be expected to have positive ideas, listen, work with others, and help with teen programs.
